樹齢1000年 高35ｍ 周14.8ｍ佐賀県 富士町 このカツラは佐賀県北部 下会瀬の山中にあり 古くから地元の「山神様」として崇められてきました。根元から多くの支幹が寄り添うように空に向かってのび 無数の小枝が その先に広がっています。15ｍに近い幹周りは カツラとしては日本最大級で、まさに「山神様」の風格に十分といったところです。この近くに「古湯温泉」という湯治場があり この日は そこの共同湯に泊まりました。（素泊2550円）ぬるめの湯は いつまで漬かっていても気持ちがよく、別名「温泉布団」とも言われているようです。
